"Le Park des Collines is a large family house which has been converted to provide first class ensuite accommodation. It is used by many guests as a convenient overnight stop en route to the south coast, but it is worth staying a little longer to enjoy the local sights. It also gives further opportunities to enjoy more of Didier Potin's excellent cooking."

I'm writing this review on my second day of a 10 day stay and I can say WITHOUT ANY DOUBT, that this is one of the best place I've ever stayed.

First, picture your self in the middle of "La Drome" - which is a picturesque area, not the most famous one of France, but quite interesting... Then, the little village of Genissieux is also an adventure by itself- completely off the beaten track, just East of Peyrins and north of Romans-sur-Isère - probably not on the bucket list of most travellers... Believe me, you must change your plan - just at least to taste the warmness and unique experience of Didier (the owner)....

The house (B&B) is charming, simple and very confortable - the new living room is spacious, you can enjoy a drink before dinner and even read a book, play the piano or else...

Bedrooms are very spacious, super quiet with all the amenities you need.

As for the host and dinner - you just cannot expect anything better than this. Didier and Orlane are just extraordinary people - they can put you at ease the first minute you meet them - and next thing you know, you are treat as a friend... it is just amazing.

Dinner is served in the dinning room on a oversize wooden table - the real French way. Conversations between hosts and other guests are like families - the food is what you dream about - for the first 2 days we had, the "Ravioles" which is the region specialties and Didier made it just perfect; we also had veal with Lentilles DuPuy and of course good wine and unbelievable French fine cheeses...

For breakfast, you have the best Croissant you can imagine with a great selection of homemade jams and great coffee...

The experience is unique as Didier and Orlane make you feel at home every day... I couldn't imagine to stay anywhere else the next time I'm in the region and I will make a 100 miles detour to stay here - it is so unique and great, why bother with those "un-personalized" hotel...

Didier, mon ami, ne change jamais - tu es simplement génial !
